Six Shot, One Killed in Trio of NYC Shootings Sunday Night
Six people were shot and one man was killed during a string of violent incidents across New York City on Sunday night, according to authorities.
Triple Shooting in the Bronx
Just before 9 p.m., police responded to a 911 call inside a building located between East 142nd Street and East 143rd Street on Brook Avenue in Mott Haven. They found three males, including a teenager, who had been shot.
- A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were both shot in the back.
- A 29-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.
All three victims were transported to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
Double Shooting in Queens
About 20 minutes earlier, officers were called to a residence on 16th Road between 147th and 149th Street in Whitestone. Two people were found with gunshot wounds:
- A 39-year-old man was shot in the left arm.
- A 49-year-old woman was struck in the right arm and torso.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Police recovered a firearm at the scene, and detectives continue their investigation.
