Jetstar has announced a major expansion from Melbourne Avalon Airport, marking its biggest international growth initiative to date. The airline will introduce new routes and boost existing services beginning March 2026.
Starting 23 March 2026, Jetstar will launch its first-ever international flights from Melbourne Avalon to Denpasar, Bali. The airline will operate five return services per week using its Airbus A321LR aircraft.
“This represents over 120,000 additional seats a year to and from one of Australia’s favourite overseas holiday destinations.”
The Bali expansion adds to Jetstar’s growing list of direct Australian routes to the island, following recent launches from the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, and the Gold Coast.
From 26 March 2026, Jetstar plans to resume seven weekly return flights between Melbourne Avalon and Adelaide. The airline will also add up to five more weekly services to Brisbane, further strengthening domestic connectivity.
These new routes and increased flight frequencies will contribute over 330,000 additional seats annually in and out of Melbourne.
