The Los Angeles Rams are making a change in their kicking game. Harrison Mevis will make his NFL debut on Sunday, replacing Joshua Karty as the team's kicker.
Despite missing or having eight field goals or extra points blocked, the highest in the NFL this season, Joshua Karty is not being released by the Rams. Coach Sean McVay expressed continued confidence in Karty's abilities.
“I still do have a lot of confidence in Josh Karty,” McVay said.
Along with the new kicker, the Rams will also introduce a new long snapper as they prepare to face the San Francisco 49ers. Jake McQuaide, who was the Rams' long snapper from 2011 to 2020, returns to replace Alex Ward.
