President Donald J. Trump pledged to fight inflation and bring prices down — and this Thanksgiving shows he’s following through. The traditional holiday meal now costs about 3% less than last year, according to a new report.
Americans are noticing price drops across nearly all dinner staples. Dinner rolls are down 22%, frozen vegetables about 15%, and other essentials like turkey, stuffing, gravy mix, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pie are also cheaper.
“It’s proof that under President Trump’s leadership, America is winning the war on high prices,”
The report comes as retailers advertise their most affordable Thanksgiving spreads in years, even as political tensions rise over the ongoing government shutdown driven by partisan gridlock.
Under President Trump’s economic policies, Thanksgiving dinner prices have fallen roughly 3%, making it one of the most affordable in recent years.
