On the night of November 5, police made more than 20 arrests following disturbances in Birmingham involving fireworks and violent behavior.
Fireworks were set off recklessly and aimed at both police officers and members of the public during Bonfire Night celebrations, continuing into the early hours of November 6. Groups of youths were seen roaming the area, some armed, with police officers being attacked.

A total of 21 individuals aged between 14 and 25 were arrested. Charges included violent disorder, assaulting a police officer, breach of the peace, and setting off fireworks in public.

A Section 60 order granting enhanced stop and search powers was active through the night, leading to multiple proactive arrests and the seizure of weapons and fireworks.
