Hartenstein shines as Thunder dominate Kings

Isaiah Hartenstein delivered a career-best performance with 33 points and 19 rebounds, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a commanding 132–101 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

The 7-foot center showcased remarkable efficiency, hitting 14 of 17 shots, while also contributing three assists and three blocks. His effort powered the Thunder to victory in their first NBA Cup tournament game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 30 points, helping Oklahoma City (9–1) rebound strongly after their lone loss of the season in Portland two nights earlier. Cason Wallace scored 15 points, and Isaiah Joe chipped in 13.

Thunder exploit Sabonis’s absence

Oklahoma City outscored Sacramento 60–34 in the paint, taking full advantage of the absence of Domantas Sabonis, who missed his second straight game due to sore ribs. Without him, the Kings struggled to control the interior.

Westbrook faces former team

“Russell Westbrook, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, had 24 points and nine assists against his former team.”

Despite Westbrook’s strong showing, the Kings couldn’t keep pace. Oklahoma City led by as many as 23 points and maintained control throughout.

Friday’s win marked the Thunder’s second triumph over Sacramento in just 11 days. In their previous meeting, the scenario was reversed: the Kings had a healthy Sabonis, while Chet Holmgren was sidelined. This time, Sabonis watched from the bench in street clothes as Holmgren contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
