Play of the Week: Jennings, Londergan’s Late-Game Heroics
The men’s soccer team started its postseason run with a home match against Amherst.
After an 8–3–4 (5–1–4 NESCAC) regular season, the Cardinals were seeded #2 in the conference playoffs.
Earlier in the season, the Cards won a 2–1 match against Amherst, but the Mammoths had the upper hand in their last three postseason meetings.
Amherst was coming off a National Championship last season and were set to be a tough test.
The playoffs were a different animal than the regular season, and they were prepared for a dogfight.
The team was aware of the challenge and ready to face it.
