A new exhibition in Houston will delve into the life and legacy of Trajan, the Roman emperor who ruled from AD98 to AD117 and brought the empire to its peak.
Among the exhibits will be giant statues and a section of Trajan's Column, showcasing the might and culture of the empire under Trajan's rule. A 2m-high statue of Trajan, found in Minturno, will be on display, on loan from the National Archaeological Museum in Naples.

The exhibition, Art and Life in Imperial Rome: Trajan and His Times, will open at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and explores Trajan's story and the artistic legacy of his era. According to the museum's director, Gary Tinterow, the idea for the exhibition was conceived in 2021 by StArt, an Italian museum consultancy.
