A young woman and a child were taken to hospital after being struck by a car on Whalley Road in Clayton-le-Moors.
The collision occurred at 5pm on Sunday, November 9. Emergency services quickly responded, and Lancashire Police closed Whalley Road in both directions between Adelaide Street and Hill Street.
Officers reported receiving calls about a crash involving a car and two pedestrians. The ambulance service transported the woman in her 20s and the child to hospital. The road closure lasted for several hours, causing significant traffic delays.
