Monmouth (8-1) relied heavily on Nelson’s contributions in their 35-7 CAA victory at Bryant. He set career highs with 34 carries, 244 rushing yards, and 306 all-purpose yards, scoring two touchdowns. His long receptions of 49 and 13 yards helped set up teammate touchdowns. Nelson’s 306 all-purpose yards rank second among all FCS players this season. He leads with eight games of 100+ rushing yards and three games of over 200 rushing yards.
