Finn Wolfhard's Premiere Suit Contained a 'Stranger Things' Easter Egg

Finn Wolfhard's Premiere Suit Featured a 'Stranger Things' Easter Egg

As the Stranger Things saga approaches its finale, the cast embarked on the season five press tour starting at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre in Los Angeles. Finn Wolfhard, who portrays Mike Wheeler, stood out with his stylish choice for the premiere.

The 22-year-old wore a sharply tailored, skinny-fit black McQueen suit paired with a silky shirt. The suit featured a distinctive patchwork design in scarlet, silver, and black, appearing as if it was being slowly consumed from within the fabric.

This unusual, worn look brought to mind the Upside Down — the eerie, fiery alternate dimension explored by the Stranger Things characters over multiple seasons.

Wolfhard’s stylist, Warren Baker, who also styles Andrew Garfield and works with Saint Laurent campaigns, explained the intentional connection. Speaking to Esquire, he said,

“For the LA premiere we really wanted to play into the theme and colours of the show.”

The Upside Down remains the central enigma of Stranger Things, with no clear answers about its origin or purpose even as the series concludes. Wolfhard’s suit cleverly echoed this mystery through its threadbare appearance, tying fashion to the show’s haunting lore.

Author’s summary: Finn Wolfhard's uniquely designed premiere suit cleverly referenced Stranger Things’ enigmatic Upside Down, blending fashion with the show's signature mystery.
