Spanish filmmaker Júlia de Paz Solvas, recognized as one of the country’s most promising new voices, is set to premiere her second feature film The Good Daughter. The film offers a gentle yet deeply affecting look at a young girl trapped between family discord and institutional neglect.

Premiere at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

The film will debut in the main competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, held in the Estonian capital from 7 to 23 November. This selection marks a major step for de Paz Solvas, following her acclaimed debut project.

Production and Storyline

Produced by Astra Pictures and Avalon in collaboration with Krater Films, The Good Daughter follows the story of Carmela, whose world unravels after her father receives a restraining order. Once her role model, he now stands accused of gender-based violence against her mother.
