Flinders Port Holdings introduced a unique float dedicated to maritime trade at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, emphasizing its contribution to spreading festive cheer across South Australia.
The company highlighted the essential part maritime trade plays each year in delivering joy and gifts to the community. This marks their debut participation in the long-running event, adding a nautical touch to the festivities.
The pageant begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, when the golden whistle signals the start. Since 1933, this parade has marked the beginning of the Christmas season for thousands of South Australians who gather along the streets of Adelaide.
“We are thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,” said Flinders Port Holdings in a social media post.
“Our float celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy, and presents, to South Australians each year.”
The float is the first custom-built addition to the pageant in five years. It features a detailed replica of one of the company’s pilot boats surrounded by straddle carriers, containers, and cheerful FPH elves checking off Christmas gifts. A ripple of blue fabric beneath the float creates the illusion of the pilot boat gliding through the water.
Earlier in the week, the company officially launched the float at Outer Harbor, where several of their FPH elves joined the celebration.
