A 42-year-old woman from Fort Wayne, identified as Priya Whitt, was sentenced Monday for her involvement in a 2016 double homicide. She admitted to helping in the fatal shootings of 30-year-old Jamie Klein and 30-year-old Anton Moore.
Whitt was originally charged with two counts of murder, but those charges were dismissed in exchange for a guilty plea to assisting in the crime. Allen Superior Court Judge David Zent sentenced her to seven years in prison.
Whitt was charged alongside Gregory Robinson and Reginald Gant. In September, jurors found Robinson guilty of killing Klein and aiding in Moore’s murder; he received a 67-year prison sentence. Gant has yet to appear in court on related charges and is currently serving a federal sentence until 2029.
According to court records, a driver found Klein’s body after encountering her young daughter walking along State Road 930 in New Haven. The girl told him her mother was hurt and led him back to the home, where Klein was found stabbed to death. Police described the house as being in a state of disorder, and the frightened child was unable to describe what had occurred.
