Orioles Sign Outfielder Leody Taveras

According to reports by Jon Heyman of the New York Post and Spanish broadcaster Mike Rodriguez, free agent outfielder Leody Taveras has agreed to a one-year deal worth $2 million with the Baltimore Orioles.

The 27-year-old switch-hitting centerfielder appeared in 58 games this season with Seattle and Texas, hitting .205 with three home runs, 17 RBIs, and a .530 OPS. He also recorded nine stolen bases out of 12 attempts.
