The San Jose Sharks delivered their most complete performance of the season on Wednesday, defeating the Seattle Kraken 6-1 at Climate Pledge Arena. Six different Sharks players scored goals, while goalie Yaroslav Askarov made a solid showing in goal.
The Sharks dominated the penalty kill, going a perfect 6-for-6, which helped secure their most decisive win of the year. This victory marked San Jose’s fifth win in eight games and handed the Kraken their first regulation loss at home this season.
“Our penalty kill was really good tonight. So that helps,” said Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky. “I thought our game got better as the game went on.”
Prior to this, the Sharks (5-6-3) defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-2 on October 30, with three other wins this season coming in overtime. Askarov recently made 36 saves in a 3-2 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche and had 28 saves during the game versus the Kraken as San Jose improved to 3-3-0 on the road.
