Remembrance Day Events in Brampton
The City of Brampton will host two Remembrance Day events on November 11: a parade and a remembrance ceremony at city hall.
Event Details
- The ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. at Ken Whillans Square, in front of city hall (2 Wellington St. W.) near the Brampton Cenotaph.
- A sunrise service will be held at 7:55 a.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery Church (7732 Mavis Rd.).

- Black Veterans Day is observed on November 7.
- Indigenous Veterans Day is observed on November 8.
Closures and Service Changes on November 11
Although Remembrance Day is not a statutory holiday, several services and businesses will be closed or operate with reduced hours.
- Closed: Canada Post offices, passport services, Service Canada locations, most banks, city hall, and some city facilities.
- Open with modified hours: Beer Stores and LCBO locations, opening at noon in Brampton.
- Brampton Transit will run its regular weekday schedule.
Transit Benefits for Veterans
Veterans displaying medals, berets, uniforms, blazers, War Veteran Passes, or service papers can ride Brampton Transit free all day.
Parks and Libraries
- All Brampton parks and recreation centres will be open during regular hours.
- All Brampton Library branches will be closed on November 11.
