Over 375,000 Jeep vehicles are being recalled due to a potential fire risk related to battery failure in certain plug-in hybrid models.
According to Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, an investigation found 19 reports of fires, resulting in one injury. The recall affects 2020 to 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xes and 2022 to 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xes.
Stellantis is advising owners not to recharge their batteries and to park the recalled SUVs away from structures and other vehicles until a fix is made.
Owners with recalled vehicles will be contacted about scheduling a service.
