Owls Secure Fourth Straight Win Against Pirates
Temple Volleyball outside hitters Christiana Greene and Leia Harper combined for 30 kills in a 3-1 win against East Carolina on Sunday afternoon.
The match was closely contested, with both teams exchanging points, especially in the fourth set. After losing the previous set by 16 points, Temple managed to bounce back and string points together.
A service error put Temple at match point, and outside hitter Leia Harper’s 14th and final kill of the match gave the Owls the win.
Temple (15-11, 5-7 American Conference) defeated East Carolina (11-12, 3-9 American) 3-1 at Williams Arena in Greenville, North Carolina, extending their winning streak to four matches.
The Owls started strong, jumping out to a 7-3 lead early in the first set, but the Pirates leveled the score, preventing them from pulling away.
