Leaders Roll Out New Wage Transparency Tools
UMass Lowell hosted a forum presented by the Boston Women’s Workforce Council (BWWC) to discuss the state’s new wage transparency law.
The law, signed by Gov. Maura Healey, aims to promote wage parity and transparency through new reporting requirements for Massachusetts employers.
The 2024 Frances Perkins Workplace Equity Act seeks to promote wage parity and transparency.
State Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Lauren Jones attended the forum to support employers in strengthening their workforce.
The law is named after former U.S. labor secretary Frances Perkins, the first woman to serve in the presidential cabinet.
