Annual 'Making Strides' Walk Celebrates Progress in Fighting Breast Cancer
The annual event, which has been ongoing for decades, brought out thousands of people on Saturday, including survivors, their loved ones, and those who have lost someone to the disease.
Held at the America First Field in Sandy, Utah, the event aimed to raise money and awareness, while providing a community for those affected by breast cancer.
“I’ve been a survivor for four years now. Next month will be my 5th year mark,”
said Cynthia Brown, a survivor who attended the event with her two kids. She noted that her diagnosis has changed her perspective on life.
