Mayo Hurling Supremacy at Stake
The 2025 Connacht Gold Mayo Senior Hurling Championship final is set to be contested between neighboring teams Ballyhaunis and Tooreen, writes Aiden Henry.
For the past 30 years, these two sides have dominated the Mayo finals, and this year is no exception. The final will take place at the Ballyhaunis GAA grounds on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Given their recent form, a closely contested match is expected, similar to the 2024 final which required extra time to determine the winner.
The rivalry between Tooreen and Ballyhaunis is one of the most intense in Mayo sport, with numerous breathtaking deciders over the past 25 years.
