President Vucic Arrives in Samarkand for UNESCO General Conference
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has arrived in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to participate in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.
Vucic was welcomed at the airport by Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, his deputy Ochilbay Ramatov, and Samarkand region governor Adiz Boboyev. The Serbian Minister of Culture, Nikola Selakovic, is also part of the delegation led by President Vucic.
The conference will take place at the Silk Road congress center in Samarkand, marking the first time in over 40 years that a UNESCO General Conference session will be held outside of Paris.
This event represents a major international recognition of Uzbekistan's cultural role.
