According to Staffordshire County Council Newsroom,
Pumpkins belong in pies, not parks!
As Halloween approaches, the countryside teams of Staffordshire are reminding residents that leaving pumpkins in parks is not beneficial for wildlife. The rangers at Cannock Chase Country Park have noticed an increase in discarded pumpkins, which people believe will naturally degrade and provide food for animals.
This practice, however, is more harmful than helpful. The council uses Google Analytics to track page visits and understand user behavior on their site, but this does not relate to the issue of pumpkins in parks.
Author's summary: Pumpkins left in parks harm wildlife.
