Galway Athletics Report
The first day of the Connacht Clubs Cross Country Championships was held last Sunday in Enniscrone, Co Sligo, in challenging conditions.
- In the U10 Girls race, Katie Considine of Craughwell AC won, followed by Hana Fara Gheziel and Caoimhe Murphy.
- In the U10 Boys, Ben O'Connor won and led his South Galway team to gold, with Tadhg McCarthy claiming bronze.
- Ciara Ward of Craughwell AC won gold in the U12 Girls event, with Ruby Coyne of Castlegar AC third.
- Darragh Steede of Tuam AC claimed gold in the U12 Boys, with Castlegar second team and Athenry AC third.
