Doctor Who to Return with Christmas Special in 2026
The BBC has confirmed that Doctor Who will be back on screens at Christmas 2026 with a special episode written by Russell T Davies.
The announcement comes as Disney+ confirms it will not be partnering on the next season of the show. Despite this, the BBC remains committed to the series and will announce plans for the next series in due course.
Lindsay Salt, Director of Drama, BBC said: “We’d like to thank Disney+ for being terrific global partners and collaborators over the past two seasons, and for the upcoming The War Between the Land and the Sea.”
