GitHub Universe 2025 opened with the announcement of Agent HQ, GitHub's vision for the platform's future.

Agent HQ introduces an open ecosystem, allowing any AI agent to integrate natively with the platform, including coding agents from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cognition, xAI, and more, available through a paid GitHub Copilot subscription.
Agent HQ will also work with GitHub primitives like Git, pull requests, and issues.
