This temporary installation aims to provide respite from the heat for vulnerable residents, particularly the community of unhoused individuals, who are at risk of heatstroke and burns.

The shades are made with UV-resistant canvas and heat-reducing paints, offering a potential solution to the life-threatening conditions caused by rising temperatures.

The installation will be on display until October 31st.
