The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) will return to the Gqeberha High Court to argue for leave to appeal the acquittal of Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused.
Omotoso, Lusanda Solani, and Zikiswa Sitho were cleared of charges of rape and human trafficking earlier this year. Judge Irma Schoeman ruled that the state failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt, citing poor cross-examination and weak witness management.
