Gmail Passwords Confirmed in 183 Million-Account Breach

A vast collection of 183 million email addresses and passwords, including confirmed login credentials for Gmail accounts, has surfaced online.

Users are urged to update credentials immediately, as the data includes website URLs, email addresses, and plaintext passwords drawn from "stealer logs" and credential-stuffing lists from April 2025.

The leak was added to the HIBP database when Hunt published his analysis of the compilation, drawn from 3.5 terabytes of data and roughly 23 billion rows of login information.

The entry for each record typically comprised the site URL, the user’s email and the password, according to cybersecurity researcher Troy Hunt.

Author's summary: Gmail accounts breached, update credentials now.
