Geothermal Academic Complex at Central Washington University
Central Washington University is constructing a new North Academic Complex, spanning 108,000 square feet, to serve as a hub for social sciences.
The building will feature general classrooms, an auditorium, and dedicated spaces for the Law and Justice program, with an expected completion date of fall 2026.
A new geothermal plant is also being built, which will provide power to four buildings via steam, with opportunities for future expansion.
The complex's design incorporates wooden accents, using cross-laminated timber sourced from local tribal nations and facilitated by Yakama Forest Products.
