Legendary former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has decided not to return as Rangers manager.
Gerrard, who led Rangers to an undefeated league title in 2021, was considered a top candidate for the role after leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq in January.
However, after discussions took place, Gerrard has reportedly turned down the chance to return to Glasgow, leaving fans disappointed.
Gerrard may still harbour hopes of one day returning to Anfield as Liverpool manager.
The reason behind Gerrard's decision is his desire to get his managerial career back on track, and he apparently does not see the Rangers job as the right opportunity.
Gerrard's decision comes as Rangers look to bounce back from a poor period under Russell Martin.
