A wave of weekend shootings following high school and college football games in Mississippi has resulted in at least nine deaths and over 20 injuries.
On Saturday, two shootings after college football games in Mississippi left one person dead and two others injured. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating a shooting at Alcorn State University in Lorman.
According to MBI, officers responded to a call of shots fired near the Industrial Technology Building at approximately 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found three individuals with apparent gunshot wounds, one of whom received fatal injuries.

This incident occurred after Alcorn State played Lincoln University in a football game on campus Saturday afternoon.
No comment from the university has been released.
