Young Photographer Wins Prestigious Award

Jamie Smart, a 10-year-old from Llandrindod Wells, has won the 10 & Under category in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

Jamie's win was announced at the Natural History Museum in London, where the awards ceremony took place. The competition, running for 61 years, showcases the best in wildlife photography.

The judges selected 100 images from 60,363 entries worldwide, with Jamie having three images chosen in the top 100: 'Rutting Call' (a stag), 'Morning Hopper' (a grasshopper), and 'Weaver's Lair' (a spider), which became the overall winner.

Jamie made an acceptance speech upon receiving the award.
