Two people are facing charges after police seized cocaine during a RIDE check on Manitoulin Island last month.
Manitoulin OPP said officers were stopping vehicles on Bidwell Road in Northeastern Manitoulin on Sept. 21 when an odour of pot was detected from one of the vehicles that passed through.
“As a result of further investigation, the driver and passenger were arrested,”
the detachment said. Police seized an amount of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,000, an amount of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $700, and an amount of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $6,000.
