Shooting at Alcorn State University
A shooting has been reported at Alcorn State University, resulting in one death and two injuries.
The university advised those on campus to seek shelter immediately after the shooting occurred near the Industrial Technology Building at approximately 6:30 p.m.
- One woman is deceased
- Two other victims were injured in the shooting
Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods confirmed the casualties.
The case has been turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office assisting in the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
