A34 Updates: Huge 98-Metre-Long Wide Load in North Staffordshire
Police have been involved in the transportation of an abnormal load through North Staffordshire.
- The load is currently paused at The Harvester near Trentham to allow traffic to clear.
- It will resume its journey towards Newcastle at 12:25hrs on the A34.
- After passing Sainsbury's, it will continue on the A34.
According to the police, the load has cleared Stafford and is heading to Stone, where it will go 'contraflow' after Walton island and then onto Darlaston to rejoin the correct side as it heads to Newcastle.
Please adjust your route if travelling through Stone, Newcastle, Butt Lane and try to be courteous and understanding as the load makes its way to Cheshire.
