Unfulfilled Promise of the MCU
Eight years after the premiere of Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, Marvel Studios still hasn’t resolved one of the best character teases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The movie, released in 2017, took everything away from Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and trapped him on the garbage planet of Sakaar, where he reunited with Bruce Banner’s Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), the champion of the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), Sakaar’s tyrannical leader.
One of the most exciting teases was delivered in Thor: Ragnarok, confirming the existence of one of Marvel’s best heroes, but unfortunately didn’t actually mark the character’s debut.
Marvel Studios still hasn't paid off a brilliant character tease from the MCU's Phase 3, even eight years later.
