Deer are on the move more than any other time of year, leading to a significant increase in deer-related car crashes in Missouri.
According to State Farm data, about 60% of all animal-related car crashes in the state this year involved deer.
They're especially prevalent around sundown. October is a little less than November but neither one. Both are going to realize a lot of deer movement in the evenings.
This increase in movement is attributed to the rut period, or breeding season, triggered by reduced sunlight and cooler temperatures.
Author's summary: Deer movement increases in fall.
