Dr. Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, has called on the Federal Government to close schools in Nigeria that charge tuition fees in foreign currencies.
"I am still going to make a proposal to the Federal Executive Council that all those schools in Nigeria that charge in foreign currencies should be closed."
Dr. Alake made this statement during the Nigeria Gold Day Celebration, held alongside the 10th edition of Nigeria's Mining Week in Abuja. He described the practice as a leakage affecting Nigeria's economy and weakening the naira.
The Minister emphasized the need to address these economic loopholes, stating that they are often not taken seriously.
