I purchased an old film camera, a Pentax K1000, for US$10 at a garage sale. This retro SLR has been teaching me to appreciate photography again.
The camera, with a 50mm lens attached, was found among household items. Although I hadn't used a camera beyond instant film since childhood, I couldn't resist buying it.
Emotion is more powerful than perfection in photography
After a few years, I finally loaded black and white film into the K1000 and tested it. The experience is reminding me of the value of emotion in photography.
