Fashion-Minded Sisters Bring Order, Style to Closets
Styled By The Sisters has been helping Park Cities and Preston Hollow residents find their sense of fashion and organization for years, especially with closet editing work.
Amanda Sparr, co-founder of the company, described her lifelong passion for fashion, saying
I went to Highland Park High, and I worked at a small boutique when I was 16. She co-founded the company with her sibling, Heather Murphy.
The sisters have
worked together 25 years total, eight years at a boutique, then at Stanley Korshak for 17, according to Amanda. Heather explained how growing up in a single-mom home in Highland Park influenced their perspectives and goals.
Heather shared her past experience with fashion, saying
for me, fashion was always a painful part of my life, due to the high cost of trendy items. Later, while working at Stanley Korshak, Heather wanted to understand her clients' needs, thinking
I don’t want to just sell clothes to people. I need to know what they need — what’s in their closet.
