Blue Bottle Coffee Claims Carbon Neutrality, Plans Regenerative Agriculture

Blue Bottle Coffee Achieves Carbon Neutrality

California-based Blue Bottle Coffee has announced that it has achieved carbon neutrality for the calendar year 2024.

The company has reduced its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity by 18.4% from a 2018 baseline and compensated for remaining emissions by purchasing high-quality carbon removal credits.

The announcement follows a carbon neutrality pledge made in 2021 promoting the in-house sustainability scheme.

Blue Bottle Coffee plans to invest in regenerative agriculture and climate resilience in its supply chain, following Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) guidelines.

The company is owned by Nestlé and did not use a third-party carbon neutrality certifier for this effort.
