The Appalachian Arts Alliance hosted its 6th annual Radio Day takeover in partnership with WSGS 101.1 FM, from 10 a.m.
The event allowed listeners to tune in to local music and donate to a good cause.

According to Executive Director Tim Deaton-Conway, the Arts Alliance provides children of Appalachia with a space for creative expression, including music, art, and dance.
I often reflect to the fact that an organization like this didn’t exist when I was a kid.
The event highlights the importance of giving kids an outlet to create.
