Hospital Cracks Down on "Fun Scrubs"

Tamworth Base Hospital is imposing a crackdown on "fun scrubs" worn by healthcare staff, potentially reducing colour and cheer in the hospital.

Nurses and midwives in special care, maternity, and children's wards have been wearing these cotton garments to bring cheer to patients since 2018.

"Fun scrubs started in 2018 at Tamworth hospital, and we've been allowed to wear them every day," said a nurse.

The nurse added that the fun scrubs

"boost morale on the wards and among colleagues, especially at a time when we're short-staffed and often work double shifts."

Autor's resume: Hospital limits fun scrubs for staff.
