Kasama District Commissioner, Annie Paul, has dismissed social media rumors alleging that a school is charging pupils to benefit from the school feeding programme.
The programme, implemented by Mary's Meals, is free of charge and supported by the government, aiming to improve nutrition and academic performance.
No school in the district is requesting parents to contribute money towards the programme.
Parents have embraced the initiative through the Parent Teachers Committee (PTC).
