Memorial Service for Charlie Kirk
A memorial service is planned in Indio to honor Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist who was shot and killed in September.
According to Pastor Nate Conant from Destiny Church in Indio, the event will start at 6 p.m. on what would have been Kirk's 32nd birthday.
It's just to commemorate his life and allow some people to come together and celebrate who he was.
The service was originally planned to be held outdoors at The River in Rancho Mirage, but due to weather concerns, organizers decided to move the memorial indoors.
- The evening will feature worship, videos, and messages from several pastors.
- Organizers are inviting the public to attend and asking guests to wear red.
- The service is expected to last about an hour and a half.
As Pastor Conant noted,
it's very healthy to have the community come together to either grieve or celebrate the life of Charlie Kirk here locally in the Coachella Valley.
