Windows 10 Extended Security Updates
Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025, but users can extend its lifespan with the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
To enroll, users can click "Enroll now" on the Windows Update page and link their Microsoft account, syncing Settings to OneDrive.
- In the EU, a Microsoft account is required for free Windows 10 ESU.
- Outside the EU, users also need to sync Settings to OneDrive.
- In the US, Microsoft Rewards points (1,000) can be used to sign up for Windows 10 ESU.
Users who don't have a Microsoft account or Rewards points can subscribe to $30 ESU.
Microsoft now offers a $30 ESU subscription in the Store for those who want to continue using Windows 10 with a local account.
