Satellite at Dawn Mystifies Stargazers

A radar satellite launched by Rocket Lab for Japanese Earth-imaging company Synspective has been spotted in the pre-dawn sky, leaving residents across the North Island in awe.

Photos of the phenomenon, likened to a "space jellyfish", were taken around 5:30am in Mount Maunganui, with many theories emerging on social media, including aliens and rare weather patterns.

Rocket Lab claimed the phenomenon, stating it was a successful launch of a satellite.
