Residential Development Planned in Sheldon
Over $1 million of property in Sheldon, Iowa, is set to be developed into residential housing.
The Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation (SCDC) and the City of Sheldon have signed purchase agreements to acquire 47 acres of farmland from the Anthony Pape Trust.
- The land is located in southwest Sheldon, near Wyman Street and South 5th Avenue.
- The main portion of the land is between South 5th and South 8th avenues, and between Wyman Street and 16th Street.
- Smaller portions are located north of Wyman and west of South 5th.
The transactions are scheduled to close in 2025, with the goal of increasing residential housing in the community.
